Martha Faron is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a BA in Communications in 1998. There she began her career in emergency medicine and as a volunteer firefighter, reflecting her desire to help people in need of immediate care. These jobs required her to be physically fit and it was through sports (basketball, fencing, cross-country skiing, backpacking, kayaking) and being treated for injuries that developed her interest in manual medicine. She went on to complete postgraduate studies in Pre-Medicine in 2008 at UMass Amherst and a Master’s degree in Osteopathy (M.Ost) in 2014 from the British School of Osteopathy in London, UK.
